Fatigue tests Laboratory

The Fatigue tests Laboratory, also known as "The Block" is one of a handful unique structural test facilities in the world. Heavy structures up to 10 tons can be accommodated. A 15 m x 18 m vibration isolated T-slotted floor (block) is utilised to mount test structures to be tested. Several servo hydraulic actuators of different sizes, controlled with servo controllers are normally used to apply either static or dynamic loads to the test structures.
